Rachel Davis LAc., Dipl. AC & CH, FABORM
Rachel Davis has been practicing acupuncture since 2007 after graduating from Daoist Traditions College of Oriental Medicine in Asheville, NC. She has been working at Green Hills Natural Health Clinic since moving to Nashville in 2009. In early 2016, Rachel bought the practice from former owner, Steven Blumenthal. Rachel’s approach to treatment is both comprehensive and compassionate. She practices holistic family medicine and enjoys working with patients at all the various stages of life. From active seniors to couples trying to conceive to infants and children, Rachel believes Chinese medicine can help people heal naturally. She uses acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and nutrition to restore balance and increase vitality. Rachel possesses extensive knowledge in fertility and women’s health and has been a fellow of the American Board of Reproductive Medicine since 2010. Rachel has also had substantial post-graduate training in pediatric acupuncture, mentoring under Robin Green, founder of the Center for Acupuncture Pediatrics. Ann Coffey Office Manager, AcuDetox Specialist, Certified Yoga Instructor
In 2005 Ann was introduced to the benefits of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. This introduction led to her association with Green Hills Natural Health Clinic where she took on the role of office manager.
Ann became certified as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS) in 2012. She then received authorization and licensure from the State of Tennessee Committee and Board of Medical Examiners to practice as an ADS.
She has been a practitioner of yoga since 1998, became certified to teach in 2007, and is a registered member of Yoga Alliance.
Ann is passionate in her belief and practice of using acupuncture, yoga and meditation as tools to achieve mental, physical and spiritual balance. In addition to her Auricular Acupuncture practice, she offers private yoga and meditation instruction tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.
Mark A. Fortney, L. Ac.
Mark A. Fortney L. Ac. has been a NCCAOM certified and licensed acupuncturist since 2005 after graduating from The Academy for Five Element Acupuncture. Before moving to Tennessee, Mark had a private practice, Pulse Chinese Medicine, for 11 years in Asheville, NC. He has worked as an instructor at Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medicine in Asheville as well as at his alma mater, The Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, FL. Mark has also developed and taught NCCAOM continuing educations classes for Chinese Medicine practitioners.
Mark’s work focuses on bringing a classical Chinese Medicine perspective to contemporary health concerns. Mark treats a wide range of issues and is particularly interested in working with people who are suffering from chronic conditions such as allergies, fibromyalgia, IBS, migraines, and anxiety. He works to help clients find their own innate healing ability. He empowers his patients to manage their health using herbs, foods, meditation, and exercise.
